What makes me uniquely qualified to say this?

I have been in the seminar and the conference business in retail automotive for more than 35 years now. During that time thousands of Dealers and Managers and Manufacturer Executives have attended my events. Secondly: I know I’m probably NOT talking about YOU Mr. or Mrs. Dealer, but; there are many dealers out there that have what I call “Techno-Phobia”. Well, I say to those people, “Get Over Yourself Already.” If your dealership isn’t effectively using the Internet, Social Media, Phone Skills, Web Conversion, SEO, SEM, Google AdWords, Analytics, data mining and equity mining, text marketing, online chat conversion, and dozens of other modern marketing tools and processes; then your company will go the way of the dinosaur. So many dealerships are falling farther and farther behind because they have Not embraced new things.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO KNOW THE TECHNOLOGY

You just have to know what it does and how it applies to your company. I always tell Dealers this…

“I Do Not Know How to Repair My Car if it Has a Problem, BUT; I Do Know How to Drive One.”

The same thing applies to all of the modern marketing and sales tools we have today…

 “You Don’t Have to Know How to Operate the Technology or Program it; You Just Have to Know What it Does and How to Drive It.” You have employees to do that, BUT You have to know what to expect and how to measure the results, or lack of results."

Third: Most Dealerships have “Crappy Vendors” sucking huge money out of your budget and they are Not delivering sales and results. They dazzle You with Bullcrap and Bogus Statistics disguised as Research. So many Dealers fall for it.
