Why not?
Golf practice needs a game changer, a fresh approach, a facility that represents a revolutionary step forward in golf practice, setting new industry standards and leading the way for others to follow. Something that helps bring people back to this great game, this is a great sport but one for all ages, all abilities and one you can play throughout life!
In all honesty current facilities, on the whole, are just not good enough, they do not focus, excite, attract or inspire people to take up this wonderful game.
Typically...
You collect a token and a basket, head off to a machine where you attempt to strategically place it so that it catches all the balls dispensed with varying degrees of success. You often you end up chasing loose balls around, the ones that escaped when ejected by the ball machine that is set up to fool you by pausing for long periods, giving you just enough time to remove the basket before it releases the last 10 balls.
Following that you enter a cold shed, stand on a threadbare mat probably with the rubber tee missing, empty your broken basket of smooth, partially circular, aerodynamically challenged golf balls and you look out at a muddy field. In the distance a sea of abandoned golf balls awaits and if you are really lucky you get to aim at some yardage markers that are set up at distances that have no resemblance to the figure on them. However, not all is lost as some will provide the odd sad flag stick and possibly a painted tyre or chipping net (with a hole in of course) to aim at. Typically you then proceed to warm up with a couple of twists with the club behind your neck, as you have seen Rory do it before he tees off! and hit most of your 100 balls with your 8 degree, stiff shafted driver all within a15 minute period....then Sweating profusely you leave believing that you may have learnt something and that may help you lower your score at the weekend, well at least for those one or two good shots that you managed to strike right out if the elusive sweet spot that carried the 200 yard marker in the distance, obviously set at only 170 yards out! This environment does not represent the true game of golf!
We should not except this, the game of golf deserves more, to help attract more people into this great game, to help golfers really improve and gain more enjoyment from game, we have to have a paradigm shift and the answer is... The Perfect Practice Centre. Ask for more details.
