WHY IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PRIORITY NUMBER #1??

WHY SHOULD CUSTOMER SATISFACTION BE PRIORITY NUMBER #1?

I have been working in customer oriented industries for many years now. While I won't pretend to be the best at satisfying clients, I believe I am one of the best. And I certainly always do the most I can do to accommodate.

I review many places and I go and see many different events of interest to me. I noticed that all businesses have pros and cons, as well as ups and downs, After all no one and nothing is perfect, But when one makes contact with clients, It is a duty to satisfy expectations as much as possible. The customer is not here to please the staff or the business, but it is truly the other way around...

"How can a customer be allowed to think they are not important?! How can a business allow such a thing!? Who makes the rules!? What are the rules!? Do businesses even care?! "

Well, it has been my experience that most businesses care, but how they show it is sometimes not visible. It is not visible due to things like word choice, clear speech, willingness to help or even a simple smile at times...

Most issues with clients (I find), is normally some simple matter. While it is true you cannot please everyone, shouldn't we please as many as possible. And I am of the school of thought that soft skills training is the easiest way to fix most issues.

The thing that I always try to remember is that unhappy people often do not give you a second chance, because there are far too many different choices these days. Such small things as the tone of voice can make such a big difference and it costs nothing extra, so I always try to put in that little bit extra.
