What do we miss out on when problem-solving becomes our default mode? As a method for organizational change and visioning, appreciative inquiry has been around for decades. Its core message is that by exploring the positive rather than analyzing the negative, we create new possibilities that cause problems to fall away on their own. This message has never been more relevant, particularly with today's growing emphasis on assets-based approaches. While problem trees, root cause analyses, and other problem-diagnostic methods are important, they simply lack the power of appreciative inquiry for coalescing actors around a new direction.?#appreciativeinquiry #organizationalchange
