While mission statements are most commonly utilized by businesses to guide employees in the goals and ideals of the business, a mission statement will also be useful in a collaborative leader’s personal life to remind you of what is important to you and what you hope to achieve, both professionally and personally. 

If you are honest about framing yours up, it will force you to think profoundly about your deepest values and aspirations.
