Why the COVID19 period is the worst time to evaluate your friends
By Samuel Muhindo
The new normal brought about by the COVID19 period has brought most relationships and associations between friends, relatives, God and families. The pretext used for failing or shaky relationships is that we rush to accuse each other of failing to communicate.
what really is the problem?
should this be the time when we front our ego over our friends
should we be competing now to see who ignores the other
most because you expect them to check on you
not you check on them?
This should be the time when ego and pride
it is that time in life when even when they talk to you
they smile with emojis yet they are hurting
understand their absence,
someone not sure of their return to school
because the rent areas have accumulated yet they hadn't cleared
the previous semester's tuition
they need your smile
shall he or she smile when airtime has become such a luxury
even more than dhahabu?
what about forgetting that this period has been the longest most of them
are spending at home with their parents
ideally, all the skulls in the closet must have been
noticed
You can now check the relationship again,
call them, text them, pray for them or with them
a number is not well at all
those smiling emojis behind the
well lit screens are deceptive
