Entering the digital marketing dome is hard, but leading it to success is harder.
Millions of businesses have adopted digital marketing as a means to promote their brands.
But the shocking statistics would stun you because almost 97% of all internet marketing initiatives fail.
It is largely due to the fact that most of them don’t know where to start and how to bring people to their products/services.
As a content marketing expert with over 10 years of experience, I have come to a point;
“Content is the king and will always remain”
I am not promoting my services or asking you to hire me.
I am saying it because most of the agencies I have worked with end up packing their businesses.
They didn’t take content marketing and content marketers seriously.
The focus was more on getting backlinks from low authority websites, depending on thin lean content, and not setting content KPIs to track performance.
If you have been working for a while on your website’s blog and still finding the answers to why my blog is not getting traffic;
Then this post is likely to help you. ?
Sit tight and find the reasons why your content (blog) is not getting traffic.

Why Content is Not Driving Traffic
Before we dive straight into why content is not driving traffic, I would like to give a brief overview of “for what purpose do companies use blogs”.
???It Drives Traffic to the Website
???Convert Traffic into Leads
?? Drives Long-term Results
?? Helps in Forming Inbound Links
?? Keep People Informed about News, Products, and Services
If you have been worried about not getting traffic to your website, then make sure to consider the following points.
Your Keyword Selection was Not Optimal
If you are an SEO writer, you know the importance of choosing the right keywords.
Without optimizing your content with the right keywords, your content will not drive traffic at all.
Even if you have optimized it with keywords ask yourself;
?? What is the difficulty of keywords?
?? Have you chosen keywords with user intent in mind?
?? What types of websites are ranking on that keyword?
The difficulty of keywords determines the likelihood of your blogs being ranked.
For instance, if you have written a blog on “best smart watches for iPhone”, you might not be able to rank in the top 10 positions.
The reason is there are high authority websites like cnet.com, tomsguide.com, and techradar.com that have already covered the topic.
Similarly, if you have not chosen keywords with user intent in mind, you are not likely to get any traffic to your blog.
Use tools like answerthepublic.com and Google instant search to know what queries are being searched by people.
Moreover, find out whether the keyword is having some amount of traffic or not.
Lastly, when optimizing your content with keywords, just figure out which websites are ranking in the top 10.
For instance, if websites like forbes.com entrepreneur.com and inc.com are ranking on the selected keywords;
Your chances of getting in the top 10 are one in a million.
Make sure to choose your keywords wisely after analyzing the factors I have discussed above.
Your Content is Thin – Get it Written from an Expert
If you are not focusing on producing high-quality SEO content, you will not be able to drive traffic for centuries.
Make sure to hire SEO content writers and copywriters who know all about writing for the readers and optimizing it naturally with given keywords.
If you are short of writers, you can outsource it to freelance writers.
I as a content marketer and writer have over 10 years of experience;
Ranking blogs on featured snippets and writing web copies that gained top position, I can help you with all the keyword research, writing blogs, and updating on WordPress.

?Your Headline is too Dull and Boring
Most of the writers focus more on writing content body;
But when it comes to heading, it looks so boring and no one finds value in it.
For instance, I came across a website that was mainly offering solutions in AI, POS, and automation.
One of the blogs that got my attention was “Lead with your Business Needs”.
If you read the heading, it does not state clearly what readers are going to get.
Instead, if I was a writer, I would have written a title like
?? 10 Easy Steps to Lead Your Business with Digital Transformation
?? How Automation can Help Businesses Lead from the Front?
Well, you can try as many variations as you like.
But if we look at the published title, it does not convey the message clearly.
Why would the reader click on it and read?
Make sure to create a catchy headline so that visitors click and ultimately drive traffic to your blog.
It’s Never About You – Readers/Customers Come First
I live, eat, and breathe blogs;
When looking at some of the blogs, I realized they were talking more about themselves than about customers.
The purpose of the blog is to inform readers and customers about your offerings.
What your offerings are not their interest.
Rather;
Try to focus on what your readers and customers will get.
That is why most the SEO copywriting fails as soon as they are written and published
Instead of talking about yourself, try to create empathy with each individual.
Sooner or later, you will see the audience talking about you, mentioning you, and giving credit.
It’s All About to Give and Take
Content marketing is all about to give and take philosophy.
You have written a great piece of content and shared it on your social accounts.
But have you mentioned someone in your blog post, contribution, a book someone has written, or infographics they have made? ?
Or statistics they have shared.
You don’t want to because you feel that would benefit them and there is no reward left for you.
However, it is opposite to what you believe.
If someone has mentioned you in the blog or tweeted about your products/services, you need to return the favor.
Even if you have to do it before they have done.
Write something that people and your connections would love to share.
Don’t be ungenerous and give favor to people in your niche, community, and social platforms.
Summing Up
The digital age demands content;
Loads of content;
Content that drives traffic, engages readers and builds credibility.
If you have been searching for a content marketer and writer;
You probably need someone like the author of this post.
Not going to be salesy anymore ??.
