Why content alone won’t get you consistent leads

Content is useful for a lot of things.
Building credibility, showing proof of your results and getting inbound leads.
However what it lacks is the consistency of the leads it can generate.
Here’s why.
1st: Not everyone is going to feel “ready” to reach out
→ Even if these individuals feel like they could benefit from your help, they’re either holding themselves back or still unsure on who they should get support from.
2nd: Your content won’t always perform the way you want it to
→ Some days your content might get in front of all the right people, other times it might not do as well. After all, the algorithm is in control of who it’s showing your content to.
3rd: People are busy
→ Most the time, people are genuinely busy and have a lot of things to do (as do you). So reaching out directly to you probably isn’t on their priority list.
The solution to this is simple. Reach out to them directly.
Start the conversation, and book them in on a sales call.
Most coaches hate the thought of doing outreach as they’re being pitched on the regular and don’t want to fall into that same bracket of people to their prospects.
However I’m not talking about pitching, I’m talking about doing WARM outreach, where you:
1. Take your warm leads (new connections, profile viewers & engagers)
领英推荐
2. Start the conversation (keep it personalised & ask a qualifying question)
3. Aim to identify a problem you can solve (aim to get them to open up)
4. Once they open up about a problem you can solve, propose a call to chat further
By doing this, you make the first touch of contact with people familiar to you and your content.
With the 1 aim of seeing IF they have a problem you can solve.
If they don’t, no worries, cross them off the list and onto the next.
But you’ll never know if you don’t ask.
Plus these people aren’t stupid.
When they see you’ve messaged them, they’ll check out your profile & content.
If they believe you’re credible and trustworthy in what you do.
They’ll be far more likely to open up to you (assuming they have a problem you can solve).
So if you could send 25 warm messages a week and book even a couple calls, you’d be gaining consistency in your lead generation.
But it all starts with that first message.
So you can either apply this yourself to get consistent leads, or you can outsource your LinkedIn lead generation to me instead.
