Why conquering your inner world is the key to making the impact you want to make on the world

Let's imagine someone in your family who knows just how to push your buttons, says or does something to have a dig at you and you find yourself feeling furious, upset and your thoughts spinning out of control. In lockdown, being around family the entire time without getting out much means the conditions for being triggered and then ever so slightly losing the plot have been ideal...
There are two ways this can go for you. The first is that you walk away without losing your cool, breathe deeply, perhaps go for a walk and call a friend for a quick debrief and then shake it off, knowing that you can rise above it and let it go. The rest of your day carries on to plan and by the end of the day, you've pretty much forgotten about it.
The second option is that it really gets to you. Maybe you get into an argument and things escalate. Perhaps you end up in tears, feeling devastated about the whole thing, convinced you are a failure at life, and decide to crack open the wine (insert your favourite technique for running away from what's going on if it isn't wine) even though it's only 3pm. You internalise what's happened and how you handled it, making it mean all sorts of negative things about yourself and your life; you feel unsettled, distracted and question yourself for days afterwards. The impact on your ability to show up and make the difference you want to make in the world is considerable.
The difference between these two is the ability to control of your inner world. You cannot always control what happens in life, and you certainly can't control other people, but your own reactions to whatever is thrown your way are very much inside your circle of control.
If you find yourself easily triggered, easily destabilised, and easily thrown off course, then I would highly encourage you to take steps to improve how you manage your thoughts and feelings.
One of the shifts I've noticed for everyone since lockdown began has been the urgency with which people want to live a different sort of life now. No one wants the old normal. I'm hearing that making a tangible difference for the greater good of the planet and humanity is now of the utmost importance to you. You are done with the hamster wheel and consumer lifestyle, and you want more time to yourself, more time for your wellbeing, and to focus on making a difference. The thing is, if your inner world can be very easily thrown off course, then you will find it hard to head off in this new direction. Not only that, but you will remain attached to the need for external validation and consumerism for your self-worth, because you are struggling to hold yourself steady from the inside.
This is why I created The Warrior Queen's Battlekit - Conquer Your Inner World So You Can Have Anything You Want. It is designed specifically to support you with understanding yourself, your patterns and your triggers, and infusing you with practical strategies that will make a big difference to how you deal with your inner world. It's a DIY kit, and costs £29 so it won't break the bank. Here's what's in the Battlekit:
- 20+ Ways To Protect Your Sanity That Don't Include Baths or Candles.
- Journal prompts to help you understand your triggers and quickly disarm them.
- Affirmations to help you stop feeling ashamed of your inner battles, stop destructive numbing behaviours and step into your power.
- A video training on how to recognise your subconscious patterns and turn them from your worst enemies into your most powerful allies.
Why the Warrior Queen? I believe she is the archetype for right now: laser focused on her vision and making a difference for the greater good, and a total badass at self-care and getting everything in place to support herself so that she really can make that difference. She's energetic and fun, and the exact opposite of not feeling good enough and not being sure where you're going in life. In the Battlekit, there's a bonus in depth half hour video all about her personality, as well as a factsheet, a spotify playlist to help you tap into her energy as well as an embodiment meditation.
Tomorrow (Monday) night at 8pm GMT, I'm giving a bonus webinar to everyone who has already invested in the Battlekit to answer questions, explain in more depth how to implement the kit and how to get the very most out of it. So it's not too late to get access to this webinar if you purchase the Battlekit now. You can get your Battlekit here.
Alison, a consultant who I've been co-creating a resilience course with on behalf of a client of hers, said that the main video training was a total game changer just on its own, and has helped her enormously to feel that she can handle whatever comes her way in terms of her emotional response.
I know you would love to feel that way too, and not only that, you deserve to feel that way and you deserve to make the difference you want to make in the world. Start with the Battlekit.
