Last month, as part of our free monthly lunchtime webinar sessions, I shared my thoughts and insights on “Why coaching is the new leadership style ”.?
The world is currently a very disruptive environment, probably one of the most disruptive times in history, and the pandemic has significantly impacted the way in which we operate and the established ways of working. What has been mired by the global pandemic is that we are also now part of the fourth industrial revolution. We now live in a digital technology led world, impacting all practices of working, including leadership style and the way that we work with individuals
In addition, climate concerns are a reality. There's a cost-of-living crisis in the UK, and there's an ongoing war in Europe. All these things are creating this corrupt, disruptive change, and creating the perfect storm.
The pace and impact of these changes are phenomenal, and show no sign of slowing down, meaning leaders find themselves in challenging times as never before. We need to develop a new way of leading and understand how those who are being led want to be led, and what they do with the new power that they are demanding.
