Why be on Clubhouse ??

Why be on Clubhouse ??

Hi from the future,

Are you an android user? Don’t hate on me because this is all about Clubhouse ??

It’s String, and I’m going to speed you on the trends of social and community.

Clubhouse?? is like SXSW but audio-only.

I’m addicted. The access to high-level conversations with amazing minds is addictive

Clubhouse has been given many of us this kind of access and I’m going to share 3 powerful reasons on why you should jump on.

If you’re not on the platform, that’s okay, these insights will help you prepare on how to make the most of what’s going to happen next.

Watch video ?? The power of connections

Clubhouse reminds me of my earlier experiences of being an early adopter. I was on Meerkat, a live streaming app that blew up in SXSW in 2015.

Even though I grew it to 44,000 Meerkat followers, it died in 6 months. It’s not the audience I lost, it’s what I gained. It’s the genuine connections I made.

I gained lifelong friendships and a global network.

Even now, the person who nominated me to gain access to Clubhouse was James Andrews. We first met on Meerkat, James has been a mentor, he taught me many lessons on community, culture, startup, and entrepreneurship.

It’s the same with Clubhouse, you will meet our mentors. You will meet amazing people. You will meet real and genuine connections. Be intentional.

?? The power of knowledge using your voice

Being that it’s a voice-driven platform, the golden nuggets dropped is directly by the person. It’s Lewis Howes or Gary Vee dropping knowledge, not their team, but the person showing up.

The voices on Clubhouse hold various levels of experiences. Your voice, your story is valuable.

But what’s really amazing is not the amount of knowledge, it’s the vulnerability.

Sharing their trauma and how they overcome it, and heartfelt shares.

It exudes authenticity. I know the word ‘authenticity’ is overused. But our voice has the ability to hold our DNA of conviction and what makes us unique.

Our experience makes us. Good and bad.

When you’re in a room, don’t hesitate to raise your hand ? and ask a question and/or insights.

If you do go on stage, respect people’s time.

  • Prepare your question with relevance and ask succinctly.
  • Communicate and articulate your story.
  • Clarity of communication is key to amplifying your voice and story.

?? The power of opportunities

It’s setting your intention. You will find what you are looking for.

It can be a time suck, ever since I joined on 3 Jan, I noticed I was there every day; learning, connecting, and vibing.

I set my intention to learn how to hold space and moderate. I’m on Clubhouse to connect with interesting minds.

When I open rooms, I aim to add value. I aim to create rooms that highlight diverse voices and stories. As a moderator, I like to have a conversation and energy flow.

Set your intentions.

  • Looking for answers? You will find a mentor. You will find partners.
  • Grow your audience? You will find a tribe where you can belong to.
  • If you looking to learn, you will find it with the knowledge

To set this intention, here are tips to make the most of your time at ?? Clubhouse

  1. For the first week, immerse and go explore: Then time block it as it can impact your relationships and business
  2. Make sure your ?? bio is on point: The first 3 lines lets people know more about you, this is where you show cred, your value, and who you are. It’s the prime real estate to pull to read more.
  3. Connect your Instagram and Twitter socials: This is where most of the offline conversations happen. This is where the real magic happens, offline conversations lead to more meaningful bonds and relationships.
  4. Set up your own rooms: Especially you don’t see rooms with the topics you care about. It also acts beacon to attract like-minded volks.
  5. If you got a party popper ??, you’re a newbie and you will have ?? for 7 days. During the first week, I suggest that you explore and see if you vibe with the platform.

Be intentional. As long as you’re open, magic can happen.

This week, we're running the following rooms

  1. There's a LinkedIn Mastery, it runs daily at 4pm EST.
  2. How to be a super mod on Clubhouse
  3. Buiding your trusted voice w. powerful storytelling

One little warning, I mentioned it's addictive. I had friends delete the app as their partners weren't happy with how much time they spend on it. I suggest adding to the app so they can join in. I should know, my boyfriend said I spend way too much on Clubhouse. ha.

Sounds promising for all the reasons you mention, however it all has to start with the invitation? Thoughts on how to get one in the nicest possible way?

The "addictive" is exactly why I'm staying away. I have seven books in queue that need writing. ??
