I originally had this just as a status post, but LinkedIn told me it was too long, so I've copied it here to make it an article - of which it really isn't, but wanted to share some thoughts as a friend of mine is considering moving back here.
I used to look forward to the day when I waved goodbye to Cincinnati forever and left it in the dust.
However, my family is my absolute best friends, so they're the reason I've stayed here and I told myself I'd make traveling a top priority, always.
While the past couple of years hasn't allowed travel as much, I know I often take this city and all it has to offer for granted.
We can always find things to complain about, things we don't like, and every city has those "things." That's not unusual. Even the biggest, best, and brightest cities in the world have things people despise.
We also all have our own taste for things.
Cincinnati is no longer what Mark Twain said many years ago, "When the End of the World Comes, I Want To Be in Cincinnati. It Is Always Ten Years Behind the Times"
Honestly, Mark Twain would just want to be here because...it's a great place to be!
Also, this isn't a direct quote from him, but many have attributed it to be.
Proof that fake news spreads quickly, even in the 1800s when jokes like this originated. ??
Today I wanted to share with you why Cincinnati is a great place for you, your family, your friends, and anyone!
If you're looking for fun ideas for things to do, you can always check out local websites, search the events tab on Facebook, and your favorite trusty resource, Google.
