Effective 24 March 2020 EASA with the introduction of Part CAMO has created a requirement for Initial and Recurrent – Integrated Safety & Human Factors Training.

By September 2021 all European CAMO Organisations should transition to Part CAMO and will need to demonstrate mandatory compliance with Safety & Human Factor Training in Accordance with GM2 CAMO.A.305(g)

This course satisfies the initial training obligations related to Safety Management Systems within a CAMO environment with due consideration to Human Factors (HF).

·         What is the correct length for the Part - CAMO SMS – HF Course?

·         Why Does it take 3 Days for PART CAMO HF but only 2 Days for EASA Part 145 Maintenance Human Factors (MHF)?

·         Where can I receive Classroom or online training for PART CAMO SMS?

Sofema Aviation Services (SAS) provides the answers:

SAS has been delivering human factors training in an EASA Part 145 environment for more than 12 years. In addition, we deliver the following courses:

·         Maintenance Error Management System Training (MEMS) and

·         MEMS Training for Trainers

·         Accident Investigation Training in an EASA Part 145 & CAMO environment

The answer is that the existing initial Human Factors Course (as delivered to EASA Part 145 Organisations is 2 days duration) – to this is added the content related to Safety Management Systems – which takes a good part of 1 day to effectively communicate to a receptive audience.

It is, for this reason, the program takes 3 days – the entire course runs to approx. 900 slides and is one of the most comprehensive courses we have ever put online with a voice over.

The course “faithfully” follows the guidance material referenced in GM2 CAMO.A.305(g) and shown below.
