Why choose India for Exports?
India has always been the hub of exports specially when it comes to special techniques of embroideries and embellishments. Having a rich and multiple culture/history, Indian artisans are born with creativity. A country where every state has its own art and culture. Be it Chikankari of Lucknow, the lustrous gold and silver magic of Mughal Zardosi, the delicate detailing of Kantha from West Bengal, the colorful dance of phulkari or the famous mirror work from Gujrat. India has huge potential for high end brands who offer their customers something special. Every piece of art comes with a special feeling. Every hand -embroidered piece has beauty and creativity of small artisans who work in big factories or in their homes with families. Seeing a family working altogether on a piece of art is an amazing experience. Another thing that makes India special is its friendly and big-hearted people. Every Indian supplier welcomes their brands/buyers smiling, holding a garland, making them feel welcomed. This is the only country where no matter you give any business or not, the factories will never be rude to anyone. India is the largest cotton producer of the world and its future for exports is very bright. In the future, India’s apparel export is expected to increase considerably. Total export of textiles and apparel are expected to touch US$ 82 billion by 2021 at a CAGR of 12.06% from FY18. Every brand looking for something special must visit India and its factories. Because it has a famous saying "Athithi devo bhavah." meaning -"The guest is equivalent to God.”

2 年Well Said! Even though Indian craftsmanship remains in demand in the international market there's still so much that the weavers and craftsmen have to go through to earn their due share in the upliftment of India's heritage. We are the second-largest textile industry and there's no competition for the bespoke designs for handlooms and handicrafts. So many luxury brands have copied some famous Indian handiwork through machines such as Gucci a few years back! It is high time now that the Indian market as well as luxury brands notice the handmade premium work and look to invest in Indian weavers and handicrafts. Anupam S. has so many more reasons, Brands should choose India for exports!
