Change is the only constant in your life, Career, and much more. It is uncomfortable however the good thing is that you can learn how to deal with it.
I remember Once in my career I took over an Old Property in Kenya as a GM and People were too uncomfortable with the change however if the same people look back and in hindsight, the same people will call me and tell me that it was so necessary for the organization and the Business.
There are three kinds of people and mindsets that will not want to change.
1- Receivers - Receivers see change as something that happens to them that shakes their sense of control. For Example in a hotel scenario, if I take a team and bring someone on top of a manager who is a receiver mindset, his mindset tells him that he has lost his sense of control over things. He would never understand why this was needed as a bigger picture.
If you are someone with a receiver mindset you will wait for directions from others, You will escalate decisions assuming above your pay grade and you will avoid questioning your boss and accept decisions.
If you change ready you will believe that every individual brings his or her own talent to the table.
2- Resistors - These people will push back against change and falsely hope it will go away someday which is incorrect.
If you are a resistor you will bring reasons that it cant be done based on your perception or History.

For Example, I took over a kitchen team in Kenya and they found all kinds of reasons to stall or resist however it never helped them. They got too frustrated and left which was a great thing for the organization.
A change-ready person knows the enduring success and directions of the organization is a North STAR for all actions.
3- Controllers - They will find change overwhelming and isolating.
If you are a controller mindset you will seek information that supports your views. You will not hear others as your mind is too closed and you are in your own world.
Someone change ready will think and challenge their own thinking for a solution-based outcome.
As the end Change- ready people grow fast in life. They follow a growth mindset and see changes as a continuous journey and take it as an opportunity. These folks look at changes big or small as an opportunity for personal development and failures as learnings.
