Why Champion Opportunity?

Why Champion Opportunity?

How often do you get curious about your why, then attempt to observe your unique approach with fresh eyes? There's something awkward about tracking a step by step process vs. observing who you are being while working with clients.

Discovering your why happens when "lean in" to your real essence as an expert.

Try it!

Take a step back and observe the steps you took to help others discover new possibilities for their future--what happened?

Maybe you can summarize it or discuss the reaction people have, but do you recall the exact language you used in the moment?

Those of you who said "yes" can't necessarily recreate the moment.

What would you say if a naturally curious person asked about your essence?

You might get rather philosophical and reflective, then you would think about how you want to phrase your answer.

Sorry, that approach might give you an idea about your essence but it won't be accurate.

The popular expression, "You can't read the label when you're inside the bottle" might resonate with you for a reason.

Who are you being with clients?

How do you serve as a champion for your clients?

Some people might say, "I want them to be the best version of themselves."

Great answer! Now you stated your desired outcome for your client and STILL aren't championing an opportunity for them.

Championing opportunity for your client looks and feels different.

This is where fresh eyes and curiosity come in. By the end of a 30 minute interview, your answers to 4-6 questions were different from the answers you wrote after reading my questions.

Consider this:

When I ask you to recall a moment in time, and you vividly recreate that moment out loud, the experience sounds and feels different from thoughts that come to mind while reflecting on a question you read.

Recalling and recreating a moment in time reveals your truth about being an opportunity champion.

It's so true that you can't read the label when you're inside the bottle. Our talents and impact to our clients is a "great experience" for the expert and the client, but how to describe and explain it is another story. I believe it takes a third party to listen and read between the lines to discover the ultimate value we bring as experts and having a 3rd party do that is necessary.
