Why Career-Driven, Family-Focused Women Leaders Must Expand Their Networks Beyond Their Current Organisation

In today's interconnected world, success isn't just about what you know—it's also about who you know. Networking has long been recognized as a critical component of career progression, and for women in leadership roles, it can be a game-changer. But it's also essential to gain a broader perspective on life so you don't become consumed by your job. It’s a big reason I host fun networking events for women in leadership, like my sold-out retreat this week in Ireland.

I’m known for hosting fun retreats and empowering lunch and learn events for women in senior leadership. Why?

I heard so many women saying they felt lonely in their roles and wanted to meet new like-minded women to grow, problem solve and learn with and have more fun doing it! If you'd like to be first in line to grab a ticket for my next in-person event, join my event waitlist, click here.?

Why is expanding your network important for your career?

Access to Opportunities: Networking opens doors to a world of opportunities that may not be accessible through traditional channels. I’ve seen lifelong friendships bloom in front of my eyes at my events which fills my heart with joy. Whether it's career advancements, speaking engagements, or board positions, building a strong network can provide you with access to valuable resources, insights, and connections that can accelerate your professional growth.

Peer Support and Mentorship: Connecting with other women in leadership roles can be incredibly empowering. Sharing experiences, challenges, and successes with like-minded individuals can provide valuable support, guidance, and mentorship along your leadership journey. Whether you're seeking advice on navigating a career transition or looking for strategies to overcome obstacles, your network can offer invaluable perspective and encouragement. This is a big part of what we do in my high-level membership, 3SIXTY Leaders Club for women in leadership. We have women from all around the world from different industries focusing on their development together and having a tonne of fun doing it!?

Visibility and Influence: Building a strong professional network can enhance your visibility and influence within your industry or organisation. By establishing yourself as a thought leader and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, you can position yourself as a trusted authority and learn how to influence change more effectively. Networking also allows you to amplify your voice, share your expertise, and make a positive impact on your organisation and beyond.
