Why Capgemini is Silicon Valley’s secret weapon

Why Capgemini is Silicon Valley’s secret weapon

The global business and technology landscape has undergone significant transformation in recent years. Now more than ever, enterprises must make smart investments that align with the natural progression towards digitization.

Across industries, leaders increasingly understand the importance of investing in top talent and spearheading innovation. As a result, many organizations have evaluated their strategies and expanded their roots in Silicon Valley. Known for constantly reinventing itself to remain an epicenter of groundbreaking technology, Silicon Valley is a place where innovation thrives, and businesses sit shoulder to shoulder with some of the world’s most inspiring startups and emerging technology companies.

In a recent interview with Medium, I shared that I have always been fascinated by innovation and Silicon Valley. When I came to the U.S. 24 years ago, my goal was to work with pioneering companies that change the world. Today, as Head of Capgemini’s West Geo, I have worked on many fascinating projects, including major business and technology transformation initiatives for high-tech, consumer products, and automotive businesses in the Bay Area.

At Capgemini, we are laser focused on building a future-ready talent organization that drives value for our clients. It is for this reason that we are investing heavily in the San Francisco Bay Area and have recently moved into our new Mission Rock office in the heart of Mission Bay.

Designing products of the future for our clients

Capgemini at Mission Rock – building a workforce of the future

As a leading business and technology transformation partner, Capgemini is well-established within the technology and innovation ecosystem and has firm roots in the Bay Area. As part of our ongoing growth strategy, we have doubled our scale in the West through acquisitions, including brands such as Frog and Synapse.

Perhaps the largest driver of Capgemini’s investment in Silicon Valley is our client and partner ecosystem. 90% of our strategic partners are in the West, and our increased presence in this area will enable our teams to collaborate even more closely while strengthening these relationships.

Our growing Silicon Valley investment is also massive for our talent network. Our new office at Mission Rock will leverage the impressive talent pool in this innovation hub and offer our workforce a significantly enhanced day-to-day experience.

According to Capgemini research, only 28% of employees say they have access to the technology and equipment they need to do their job well. Not only will our move to Mission Rock grow our technological footprint, but it will also provide our workforce with next-generation collaborative workspaces. With both laboratory and demo spaces onsite for our 500 employees in the Bay Area, Capgemini’s Mission Rock office will be a place for our talent to not just work, but to thrive and explore, pushing the boundaries of technological innovation and fostering personal and professional growth.

Ongoing community investment

Bringing together our Bay Area community at Mission Rock is core to our One Capgemini experience. Demonstrated by our creativity and design skills, people-focused product engineering, and the rich and diverse ecosystem of our Applied Innovation Exchange (AIE), our organization is stronger when all areas of our business work together.

This move represents a step further in amplifying the power of our Silicon Valley’s innovation ecosystem for our clients and partners. Our flagship Applied Innovation Exchange is partnering everyday with pioneering startups, world-class thought leaders, and innovators developing game-changing products and services – a testament of our commitment to the Bay Area community.

I have spent nearly three decades at Capgemini, and while today’s rate of acceleration and transformation is unique and unprecedented – it is our speed, agility, and resilience that has made us a trusted and reliable partner for enterprises across industries. ?

The space that we are cultivating for our existing and future workforce at Mission Rock will not only be one of cutting-edge innovation but one where we can work together to seamlessly combine the digital and physical worlds and propel the Intelligent Industry forward.
