Why can′t we tackle climate change?

Why can′t we tackle climate change?

When Dario gave us this question I got shocked.

How can an answer to that question be expressed in just an article?

Difficult challenge indeed. Well done, Dario. Questions are the seed of every answer.

The first answers coming up into my mind were:

  1. We are not tackling the climate change because is not our mission to tackle the climate change but to adapt our global way of living (trading) to the climate conditions and moreover to all other biological conditions given by our Natural Ecosystem.
  2. We need to focus not so much in the reasons for which we have ended up in our current situation but for the possibly existing options and senseful strategies that could take out of the current state of unsustainability on which we are purposeless trying to mantein ourselves.
  3. We are all short term thinkers anyway so almost none of us is taking climate change as a true priority. Most growth strategies are focused on inmediate profitability and productivity and add some extra commands as a kindness to the Planet without facing that our only possible future consist in keeping the planet being a healthy enough place for Humankind to remain, grow and prosper.
  4. We are getting some kind of global mindset when thinking in business, in social media or in marketing but most of us do not at all understand that “global” means “human” and that “human” means “inclusion”.
  5. We are not ready to truly believe in our own possible continuity on Planet Earth. Most people I know, when they imagine the future, are expecting it to be the time for the human extinction. Indeed, I was never finding that end a really dramatic end at all. Natural selection is like that: The ones adapting to the environment, remain and survive and the ones not doing so will be kindly or unkindly invited to leave the place. When I see our children and I see their parents and grandparents completely unworried about their future, I understand clearly why are we not managing to make any real improvement.
  6. Most of us are daily victims of external conditions of Stress, Anxiety, Agresivity, Hurry, Worry, Lack of Compassion, Excess of Judgement and Labelling, inducted Fear and Mistrust and extreme Noise. Our living conditions indeed are killing us further more than the climate change but again, most of us do not find a real problem on that. Our modern illnesses are called Degenerative and I love that name for it reveals where they come from and what are they reflecting: Our unhealthy way of living is degenerative and absolutely irresponsible but the terrible emotional conditions under we are living, the scarcity mindset from which we all come from and the generaliced lack of consciousness are keeping us away from creating real solutions.
  7. Many of us would love to scape this model of suiciding economy but if we want to scape it, we need to have an alternative economy to move to or at least, we need to have the intention of creating such a thing and then start a plan to bring our intention into Reality and materialize it as it happens with dreams.

My personal conclusions after days of wondering and exchanging with many others about this issue:

We, humans of the year 2018, care more for money than for health.

We, humans of the year 2018, care more for our past than we care for our future or present.

We, humans of the year 2018, care more about keeping alive our past conflicts than we care about our present need of confluence, co-operativity and collaboration.

But we are, at the same time, most of us, good people trying our best already.

I know that. I am sure about that as I have been testing it constantly for already 47 years worldwide.

So, how could we help ourselves to change our wrong mindset for a more ecological and healthy one???

Before being here writing this article, I have been taking almost 4 years of my personal life and all the best I can do out of my particular and profesional expertise, working on possible answers to this question.

I visited almost all the South and North American continents, I visited Japan, Nepal and some other countries in Asia too, I know most of the countries from the European continent and lately I also got involved with many African countries.

I did all that to see the world. To talk to people and try to find out.

How?

How?

How?

We all have an opinion or more than one when questions starts with “Why”.

Reasons are always located in the past, so each one has a record of memories from that past and can easily create an hypotesis or various about “WHY”

The difficult thing comes when the question starts with HOW..

For example:

How could we, humans of the year 2018, stop caring more for money than for health?

How could we, humans of the year 2018, care more for our future than our past?

How can we, humans of the year 2018, awake self forgiveness for all past conflicts and change our focus towards peaceful co-operativity and mindful inclusion?

How can we, humans of the year 2018, stop caring for showing how much we already know and start searching for what we are still needing to learn?

As you can imagine I do not have the answers.

I have found some answers by myself and I am trying to start something out of those conclusions but I am not going to tell you about my own plans. I prefer this article to become an opportunity for us all to express and share our own possible answers to those questions.

Appart from this, if any of you reading this article is knowing anyone on the planet who really would love to work on answering this kind of questions, please tell that person to contact me personally and extend an invitation from the LongTermEconomyBloggers community for the person to join us and participate actively in our platform.

We need proactivity, efficiency, positivity, creativity and unity to win this game of Life.

"Adapt or die" is the most mandatory truth we all need to face together.

As start, I suggest we stop thinking of Sustainability and instead of we focus in HOW to reduce the insustainability of:

our behavioral patterns

our personal choices

our growth strategies

No hurry.

Take time to observe all 3, one by one, in all spheres of your marvellous and miracolous Life.

Joining at such initiative could maybe help us reduce the speed on which we are tending to global suicide by simple human stupidity.

That would be my main starting suggestion.

Take a break to observe, rethink and refine.

First of all, try to reduce insustainability as much as we can.

Then, Time will tell us how long can we in the end at all remain here.

None of us can see the future but all of us are taking part in what it will be.

Please, help this questions to go round the world and take your time to find your own answers and start to work according to them. If moreover, you find some time to write about your experience and your own conclusions, we will be very happy and if you would like to talk personally about it, simply contact me or our LTEBlog platform.

We are waiting for you to join our global Army of Health.

Together we are stronger than we can at all imagine yet.

Let′s dare to test our best!

Concerted effort by the people/masses, not environmentalists alone, required to minimise climate change locally and globally failing which we are inviting nature's wrath, certain catastrophe and mass annihilation. Man (human being) is a member of biome. We must not hack the same perch on which mankind along with all and sundry life forms are thriving. We must change our mindset, lifestyle and greed so as to stop or minimise wanton human activities ( in our land, air and water) damaging/altering our biome.
