COP27 gave businesses a better road map on how to get to net zero but now we have to make moves. The overarching message from COP27 was loud and clear, businesses must move away from voluntary initiatives to disclosure that is regulated through requirements to reach public net zero targets.
Greater transparency and accountability were other resonant themes at COP, as was the call for coordinated responses to address environmental challenges — since no single player can reach the Paris Agreement on its own. It turns out collaboration may be the very ingredient needed to drive greater transparency.?

So, what is technology’s role in climate sustainability? Technology alone can’t achieve sustainability targets, but advanced technologies will be critical to mitigating the worst effects of climate change. The good news is that the drive to develop and scale them is accelerating. CDW has been ranked 11th?of Nasdaq 100 companies for its ESG reputation. The recent results, published as part of the?2022 RepTrak Nasdaq 100 ESG rankings, reflect strong public perception for CDW’s ESG efforts.??
“CDW’s commitment to sustainable and socially responsible technology implementation is far-reaching – it’s apparent in what we offer, how we serve our customers, how we work with our vendor partners, and how we engage in our communities,” said Suzette Carty, head of global ESG for CDW. “There are so many stakeholders who are engaged in CDW’s ESG journey and recognitions like this are a real testament to the team’s collective efforts.”
Some feel the COP fell short, there was still progress, albeit slow. Businesses have a huge role to play here, showing up in numbers to these events and committing to collaborations that will ultimately show governments we’re on board and deliver a global response to the environmental crisis.?
At CDW,?We Make Technology Work So People Can Do Great Things. This spirit also drives our commitment to making progress in every area of our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) journey. We operate our business in a responsible manner and are dedicated to making a positive impact for all our stakeholders and the world we share with them.
