Why is bringing different people from different teams important?

Well, if it wasn't so then we wouldn't have a story to tell you today..., a success story about our POD task force generation 2022/23.

So what are task forces in our organization and why are they important?

A task force is a team of people established to work on a single task or activity outside of their daily job focus. In digitec Galaxus we have established task forces for the purpose of developing the expertise of our employee's certain areas. We support our talents and give them a platform for collaboration outside their roles by inviting them to participate in projects, initiatives, and programs (such as task forces) in order to expand and share their knowledge, learn more about the dynamics of other teams and develop their project, time and creative skills.

The task force members change annually, allowing the previous generation to pass the torch to the new generation to focus on different needs in their mission. By encouraging individual development and promoting team culture, our impactful POD task force crew (the third generation) was prepared to tackle any challenges ahead.

How it started in 2022

They have implemented various initiatives for the ECHO process, leadership development, training and development, organizational development, and employee motivation and engagement, have helped foster a positive environment, and have cheered for everyone's initiative for learning and developing (no matter if it was a course, a workshop or further formal education).

Why was this generation so successful in everything that they've done?

They had a strong drive to impart knowledge. They were eager to bring the topic of development closer to as many of their colleagues as possible. Supporting the development path of DG and their colleagues truly motivated them. They were curious and enjoyed working with people. They strived to inspire, empower, and encourage their colleagues to realize their full potential.

Always look for feedback from others on your work.

Question the solutions independently and together.

Cooperation with technical experts

Say to yourself: "We're only the best at almost everything." or "We benefit from the enormous talent and skills of our colleagues".

Topics instead of projects

Don't think in terms of "order", "training", or "workshop".

Functioning comunication

Adapt your measures flexibly to the needs, so that the messages arrive.
