Founders Need All the Support They Can Get, Including Therapy

Andy Dunn, who’s been open about his mental health struggles, spoke at the Inc. 5000 Conference last Thursday. How are you taking care of your mental health as a founder? Let us know in the comments section.

Over the past two decades, Americans have become increasingly isolated from one another, Bonobos co-founder Andy Dunn said Thursday at the Inc. 5000 Conference in Palm Desert, California –and, he added, the pandemic made things worse.

That crisis of social isolation, partially rooted in the rise of the internet and other technological advances over the past two decades, was a large part of what prompted Dunn to launch Pie, an app that aims to help users find and organize social events .

That’s the whole idea behind Unspoken - we believe that every founder can benefit from psychological support. We know it both from the inside - as former founders who had our own mental health challenges - and as therapists! Wonderful that Andy Dunn speak so openly about it!

SUCH a good, candid and vulnerable conversation. I'm so glad so many of us were there to hear this. Mental health still has a stigma though we've gained some traction on normalizing it. Thank you!

This was an impactful discussion!! With a lot in our shoulders we need our own outlets! I love how he also discussed therapist dating to find the one that aligns with you!
