Why Blogging Is More Than Just About Traffic?

I have certain thoughts that I need to express.
The post above is heavily based on the idea that everybody who creates a website or blog does it primarily to increase readership. It completely ignores the notion that some people produce just because they enjoy starting from scratch. It misses the fact that, in many cases, the value lies in the process of creation, self-expression, and simply owning a small part of the internet that represents who they are.

When you’re writing online, being unique doesn’t matter nearly as much as being found.
No, no. Please do not listen to this. Cover your ears (or eyes) unless your primary purpose is to monetize your blog rather than to express yourself. Being discovered may get you noticed, but being unique is what makes people stay and remember you.
A tiny audience is not equivalent to no audience. Meaningful connections can still happen even if you only have 2 or 3 readers. You do not require search engines to find your postings. The most effective work will find its way to the proper people organically, without the need to “rank”.

??The author ends the post by saying:
You can have a unique website that no one visits. Or you can have a “basic” blog that actually gets traffic.
I promise that at least one person will visit your website or blog. And one individual may tell another, who may in turn tell another. Whatever happens, someone will always pay you a visit.
What if not? Send your blog my way. Take a page from Manu’s playbook and consider this post an offer to you. I’ll be your first reader.
Don’t give up your ingenuity and distinctiveness for views. The correct people will always discover you.
