Why Black diversity issues matter to all minorities

Over the last couple of months, I've had the opportunity to have discussions on black inequality at church and at work. The elections have also been a great eye opener to me on how much more we have to go with regards to diversity issues.

There has not been much discussion is about Asian Americans though, but that is OK. I've come to the conclusion that if we tackle the black diversity issues head on, it lays down the foundation for tackling equality for all racial minorities. Almost weekly, there is a news article about black diversity issues from police brutality to unconscious bias in Hollywood. I encourage you to talk about it with your co-workers. If you are a minority - contextualize it, and ponder the effects on your family, especially on your children.
