As the CEO of Tas Gas, I am proud to lead a company that is essential to everyday lives and businesses. Gas, and its smart conversion to energy, creates the cocoon of comfort and reliability within which our customers can live and work.
As those responsible for making decisions about our energy system contemplate the choices ahead, we need to constantly put customers at the centre of the process. The technological considerations, the impact on our carbon footprint are essential factors, as too are the things that are important to customers including price, reliability and safety.?
By ensuring its resilient and reliable supply we are putting our customers at the centre of every business decision we make. It may sound counterintuitive, but gas is not actually our business; the customers affected by the reliability of its supply are our business. Which is why, our team pays close attention to what our customers want, to how they use energy and how it impacts their life or their business.
Providing a reliable energy supply requires expertise
Energy markets are volatile at the best of times and Australia has experienced a particularly volatile period over the last few years. The world’s push to decarbonise combined with geopolitical events have been a challenging cocktail to stomach even for the most resilient energy providers.
In this environment, expertise in energy is essential and Tas Gas has that expertise. With 20 years in the business, we understand the market and we know that planning ahead is one of the key ingredients for success. Planning ahead means investing in appropriate infrastructure and procuring the right mix of energy to ensure a safe, secure and affordable supply.
