Why backups should be a part of your cybersecurity strategy

Before the recent overwhelming surge of ransomware attacks came along, data backups were, “just in case my computer or server crashes.”

Things have changed. Today, backups are your last line of defense against cybercriminals trying to get money to further their illegal enterprises.

In 2020 alone, more than 1 out of 4 small to medium-sized businesses targeted by cybercriminals were hit with a ransomware attack.[1]?That’s why backups are so critical, and are now considered to be a part of any robust cybersecurity strategy.

So, let's discuss what you think makes a good backup service.?

I was researching this and you can do it on your own, but the code for something so simple to make sure that you can restore it when that is not your primary line of business is abnormally large (write only and disconnecting after you write to it, immutability, restoration points, etc.). Also with various plans you can get multi-locational disaster recovery as well, with backups in nuclear fallout shelters, etc.
