Why ask for larger gifts?

Why ask for larger gifts?
Because everyone wins when donors maximize their giving.
To better grasp the idea, picture your family gathered around the brightly lit tree on Christmas morning. You made a choice to give each child either a ‘token’ gift - or a ‘generous’ one. You readily did the latter. Now, simply contrast in your own mind the impact of your choice to give generously rather than reluctantly. How does this look through the eyes of the child? From the perspective of the other family members? And what about the effect your decision has on how your view yourself?
We become more complete persons when we practice lavish generosity. In the same fashion, larger gifts made to a charitable organization are uplifting, inspiring and rewarding to the asker, the organization, the clients (needy children, for example) and, perhaps most importantly, to the donor.
