Why an Apprenticeship is always a good idea!

Not sure that an Apprenticeship is the right route for you or your team? Here are 8 reasons to contact us today and realise your potential!

  1. You get real, ‘hands-on’ practical experience in a real job role, learning the right skills in a real environment – this is the kind of experience that employers look for. It means you can learn new skills and earn a qualification whilst doing your job.
  2. Learn from those in the know. You will have access to great support when you train – this will be from working alongside experienced people in your workplace and also from specialist trainers from your apprenticeship training provider who are there to help you gain the skills and knowledge you need to succeed.
  3. Gain the skills employers want. Many apprenticeships have been designed in conjunction with employers therefore, the skills, knowledge and behaviours that you learn, are what employers want and value and make you a valuable member of the team. They could also give you the advantage when applying for jobs in the future.
  4. Whatever your ambition there's a level for you. There are lots of different levels of apprenticeship and ones that suit school leavers at 16, people finishing college, university graduates and right through to people who are highly experienced. Apprenticeships are not only a way to start your career but also a way of progressing when you are in a job. Many employers are now investing in apprenticeships and see this as a great way to recruit and retain people in their organisation.
  5. Lots of career choices. People often think that apprenticeships are for certain technical and practical jobs such automotive technician or hairdressing. However nowadays there are apprenticeships in most sectors from accountancy through to childcare and new apprenticeships are being developed all the time.
  6. Build your professional networks. On an apprenticeship you will naturally meet lots of people across your business and perhaps with external suppliers and agencies. You’ll be in an ideal place to build professional relationships and networks to succeed in the role you are in and for your future career ambitions.
  7. Learn transferable skills. As apprentices do real jobs in real work environments, you gain the softer skills that will help you throughout your career and make you more confident in areas such as effective communication and problem solving.
  8. Enjoy what you do. Not only are apprenticeships a great way to really understand an industry and find a career that you enjoy, you also get to meet different people and make new friends.
