Spain’s Digital Nomad Visa Aims to Attract Remote Workers via Fintech News Switzerland ?
Last year, the Spanish government approved a draft law aimed at encouraging the development of a thriving startup ecosystem. Better known as the Startups Law, the legislation seeks to make Spain one of the most attractive destinations for investment, talent, and innovative entrepreneurs.
Among the key propositions, the law aims to provide tax breaks, eliminate red tape and make procedures more flexible to encourage the creation of and investment in tech startups. It also includes critical initiatives to attract international experts and bring back Spanish talent, and encourage “digital nomads,” remote workers and entrepreneurs to settle in Spain.

Thailand will soon offer a 10-year visa to potential long-term residents, with applications opening Sep. 1. The scheme hopes to attract “foreign human resources with high potential and skills,” Narit Therdsteerasukdi, deputy secretary general for the Thai Board of Investment, told Nikkei Asia.?
The visa is targeted primarily at people working in high-tech industries, like electric vehicles, biotechnology, and electronics. But the visa will also be available to employees of foreign companies who want to base themselves in Thailand as a digital nomad—or “work-from-Thailand professionals,” as the visa describes them.
Americans Who Can’t Afford Homes Are Moving to Europe Instead?
More Americans are relocating to Europe, driven across the Atlantic by the rising cost of living, inflated house prices, a surging dollar and political rancor at home.
Italy, Portugal, Spain, Greece and France are among the most popular destinations. Sotheby’s International Realty said requests from Americans looking to move to Greece rose 40% in the April-to-June period compared to a year earlier. In France and Italy, US demand is the highest it’s been in at least three years, according to Knight Frank real estate specialist Jack Harris. And Americans made up 12% of Sotheby’s Italian revenue in the first quarter, compared to just 5% in the same period a year ago.?
