Why Are Americans Leaving the U.S.

The American Dream was to work or go to college, buy a home, and buy a car. With the large influx of undocumented immigrants, less money to help U.S. citizens stop the growth of homelessness, and Americans feel left out. The new American dream is to leave the U.S. The minds of many Americans want to go because of violence, the high price of real estate, the high cost of rent, the cost of vehicles, the high price of food, and many of the products we depend on to live.
According to "The Spokesman-Review," reported on a story by Andrew Van Bam of the Washington Post, the Gallup polls have reported that as many as 15 percent of Americans want to leave the U.S. Some U.S. citizens are moving to foreign countries in search of more affordable cost and flexibility. Many of these countries have a work-life balance and more vacation time if an American happens to work for a company in a foreign country.
As several of my friends from here in the U.S. and other countries consider me as a world traveler, since I have been to forty-fourth states in the U.S. Sill need to visit Alaska, Florida, Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. Visiting forty-four countries around the world and hope to visit more countries in Europe.
My latest travel was in Western and Eastern Europe in early 2023, was a wonderful experience and wish to see more.
As I travel through Italy, Spain and Portugal and seeing the historical structures, enjoying the foods, wines, music, and the company of friendly people in Europe.
The great part of traveling in Europe and I felt safe and at peace, was I did not see the crime of violence, and road rage. The only place I saw any road rage was in the countryside outside of Bucharest, Romania. I did not see any DWI’s or road rage in the rest of Europe.
I can see how many Americans admire and want to live in Europe, the center of cultural, the arts, the music. Just in Spain there are over 38,000 Americans living in Spain. An American can only travel for up to 90 days and will have to return to the U.S. of Stay in an Eastern European country that is not part of the European Union. I admire the Europeans as a whole for their commitment to eating healthy and the right foods and staying fit through much walking or exercise.
Latin American is another destination to consider moving and live, and Americans money can be stretch further. Many people are under the impression that travel is extremely costly, not unless you stay in hostels, use public transportation, and stay away from high price tourist spots. Asking locals where the best places to eat and most reasonable prices. Traveling is a wonderful experience and another form of education.
