Why is America So Unhealthy!?

We hear all the time that America isn’t a very healthy place. From 70% of our population being overweight to people being obese. Diabetes, heart attacks, blood issues, joint pain and the list goes on. There are so many ways to become unhealthy, but there are just as many ways to become healthy and stay healthy.
What health issues do you currently have? Do you have any? How can you solve them? If you think you can’t or its genetics so you were “born this way”, that is just the wrong way of going about it. You must first become aware that you can change the situation. If you are overweight, you weren’t born like that and you don’t have to stay like that if you don’t want to. You just have to figure out what it is you can do to start losing weight. How can you get into the habit of regular exercise and eating the right foods? I would bet if you exercised three times a week and replaced at least 3 of your daily meals with healthy foods you could start losing weight and become healthier.
You don’t want to eat better and exercise just for the gain of muscle and loss of fat. You need fat to live so don’t lose it all! However, if you exercise and eat right, your bones will be stronger, your organs will function better for a longer time. You will be adding years to your life. Not so you can keep working out and being healthy, but so you can be around for your kids to have kids and play with grandchildren. So, you can go to the park with your grandchildren and not have to worry about hurting yourself or getting them hurt because you are too weak.
The point is there are so many ways to be unhealthy. If you go out to eat once a week or five times, that’s fine. The idea is to be HEALTHY. Not ripped, shredded or “Big”. With proper diet and exercise you’ll find yourself happier, healthier and able to do just MORE. More physical activity, your work will be more productive. You’ll start to be happier. It’s weird to think that just by changing a few things you could be happier, but it’s true.
