Why am I standing here?

Why am I standing here?

Yesterday, I wandered up the valley where the small conifer wood drapes the hillside, echoing its contours.

Instead of going to my usual place, by the watergate, I was drawn to stand on the green path below the trees. And listen to the water tumbling down from a neighbour’s spring across the valley.

Why am I here, listening and watching the red kite circling overhead?

Perhaps to be reminded that we are a part of nature, not apart from it.

Pause. See differently. Re-story ??

Always connected Sue

Your photos from your valley are a gift, Sue Heatherington. (And I am additionally grateful that this is not a Rosalind Wise 1000 pieces jigsaw puzzle.)

I call the "save the planet day" the "save us day". We are a tiny tiny tiny tiny part of nature. Can our brains save nature? Maybe our hearts? Imagine we loved ourselves, loved each other and loved our environment...would that impact nature?
