Why am I excited about DynamicsCon?

Among innumerable changes this past year, virtual conferences have transformed from an experiment to a mainstay. If you’re a BC/NAV user and have not attended one of the community events this past year you may be wondering: Can you learn how to improve your use of Business Central at a virtual event?

The answer is a resounding YES! And fortunately, a fantastic opportunity is coming up next week with DynamicsCon 2021.

If you are someone that is always looking for The Righter Way (TM) to do things in Business Central, I highly encourage you to check out this conference. Now before you think this is just another bit of self-promotion for the session 10 BC Functions Every System Admin Should Know that I am presenting with Kim Congleton, CIO of New View Strategies, or that New View Strategies is a Platinum sponsor of this event, it is not. I really want to share with you the sessions I am most excited about after reviewing the DynamicsCon Agenda.

These 4 sessions rose to the top of my must-see list! Remember I am a senior consultant and trainer, so my top sessions will be focused on functional content, not technical. I am sure some of the technical sessions will be great, they just did not make my list.

1.      WIP it, WIP it good! – When you ask Robb Delprado “who should consider using Jobs in Business Central,” his answer is “EVERYONE!” Well, I am not certain I agree, but I am planning on attending to find out why he says this with such enthusiasm. (Plus, I want to see if he got a new hat just for this event.)

2.      Top 20 Things You Should Not Do in Dynamics BC – This session is being presented by Kristen Hosmen and Shannon Mullins, both MVPs. I have enjoyed what they have had to share during the monthly Business Central Mix It Up so I am certain I will get a couple of great take-aways from this session.

3.      Save Hours each week with Power Platform – Belinda Allen is so very passionate about what she does so I know there will be something for everyone in her session. Whether you have just been thinking about or are already using Power Platform, she is sure to have some great tips and advice for getting information from Business Central to your users and more importantly business decision makers.

4.      How much of your BC system are you wasting? – If you want to compare how you rate amongst your peers with your utilization of BC or just want to get a better idea of what you may be missing when it comes to maximum utilization, don’t miss this session with Kerry Peters and Mark Rhodes.

I know from either working with these presenters directly or attending their sessions at other events that I will get something of value from their sessions that I can either use, investigate, or just contemplate – immediately! And isn’t that why we attend these events?

I would have liked to see a bit more functional or “how to” content on the agenda. Is it just me? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Do have fun at DynamicsCon, learn lots and share your newfound knowledge with others. Become someone’s superhero!
