Why am I doing this?

What is the purpose of creating a website www.salesattitude.uk with practical advice on how our beliefs and thoughts control our life? What do I expect to achieve by publishing various posts with advice and sharing my past experiences? How does it benefit me?

If you have checked my profile and my website you will have noticed that there are no links to services or products for sale. I believe it is important to clarify that my focus is on sharing my hobby and not on promoting any business activities.

I have always believed in helping those less fortunate than me and sharing my significant life experiences with others. I hold a strong conviction in the transformative power of gratitude and contributing to the world rather than solely focusing on personal gain.

I believe that I had a more successful run than most. I came from very humble origins, my parents had a farm that could just about manage to feed all of us and pay for the minimum standard of living.

Like everyone else I've experienced both good and bad times in life. I've worked hard at every opportunity, and when the chance to be very successful came, I was ready and made the most of it. As the old saying goes, I was in the right place at the right time.

In my past experiences there were people who I admired and helped me steer my way and gave me good advice and guidance. Some of these people were friends and others were world-class trainers and mentors, I am forever indebted to their knowledge and wisdom. The top three mentors who impressed me the most were Richard Bandler, the creator of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), whom I had the pleasure of meeting at one of his inspiring seminars, Rhonda Byrne, the creator of The Secret, and Tony Robbins, a master in the art of motivation, he takes it to the next level.

In my professional journey, I faced two incredibly challenging periods that made me feel completely powerless and as though my whole world had collapsed. It was a time of intense struggle and emotional turmoil and the experience has deeply influenced me both professionally and personally.

The first one happened over a decade ago, I was thriving in my sales career and I felt invincible. However, that perception shattered within a short span of time when I tragically lost two beloved family members including my mother. Almost simultaneously my partner was involved in a devastating car accident, leaving her with life-altering scars. It was a tumultuous period that tested my resilience in ways I never thought possible.

The second incident occurred approximately five years ago when I experienced a serious problem with one of my eyes. The condition is incurable, and due to a misdiagnosis, I was terrified that my other eye could also be affected.

On both occasions, I firmly believed that I had the inner strength and determination to overcome the challenges and difficulties that I faced. I was confident that despite the unfavourable circumstances, I would gather the resilience to stand tall once again and regain my composure.
