You can't surpass yourself without effort or sacrifice. The surpassing of oneself is therefore a difficult thing to do. So why bother and want more if we can settle for what we have? Why do more, if what we have done is enough?
What does it mean to surpass yourself?
To surpass yourself, whether in sport or in everyday life, is to go beyond the limits. Limits are defined by setting goals. We then go beyond them. Self-improvement requires courage, sacrifice and a lot of effort and involves all possible areas, such as sport, health, work, education, etc. Several things can block us to achieve this unattainable goal, but for the most part they are psychological and non-physical blockages. So we can surpass ourselves if we can solve this blockage.
Your advantages by opting for self-improvement
The main advantage is accessing to all the things you want to do, which you dreamed of. By surpassing yourself, you will find that there is no real limit, that nothing is impossible. When you know you can do anything, you can have it all, hence the saying "when you want you can". So there are no more obstacles, whether physical or psychological. Also in the same framework, there is the law of attraction. Thinking positive and wanting more will lead you to success. Wanting something, at a point where you can do anything to achieve it, helps you to get it. Efforts will always be rewarded.
Become your own master
When you know how to surpass yourself, when you don't settle for little, you will become your own master, since nothing can stop you. You will be autonomous, because you will no longer depend on something, since you are able to go further. You can make a decision easily, because you know you can do anything. You can manage your time as you please, because you have your own goal and you know when you will achieve it.
Self-confidence and material benefits
After the effort comes comfort. You have to invest yourself when you want to go beyond, whether it's time, physical, mental, psychological, etc. In any case, you will win, because you will always have, in the end, a nice reward. The reward may not necessarily be material, because even knowing that you were able to do something you thought was impossible is already satisfying. Nor does it limit the material benefits.
In short, surpassing yourself will always be beneficial for you, regardless of the field and the stakes. So don't settle for a little more and look for more.
