All Hands Meeting is just a regular meeting like others but when it is conducted correctly, it has a lot to offer otherwise it is just a waste of time and effort. The name itself is derived from the phrase - "All hands on deck". Just like the phrase, on the all-hands meeting, all employees gather together with the leadership to discuss company stuff. The main goal of the all-hands is to share current business affairs, celebrate milestones, welcome new arrivals and farewell to departures as well as providing everyone a chance to ask questions.
Here at Etribes, we used to have our all-hands meeting every last Friday of the month but now it's gonna be every week ??. Personally, I have never experienced such a platform before where the leaders reveal the current affairs wide open to whole employees to witness what's going on. I really do admire this meeting since it gives me close insights on the following matters:
# Getting to know current business affairs
As the company gets bigger it is difficult to get to know all ongoing matters since everybody will be mostly occupied with one or two projects at a time but here at Etribes all-hands is such a meeting where one can get a chance to know about every single project and its up-to-date matters. Etribes is made up of several tribes where tribe lead conveys every single highlight and lowlight of the week/month to everyone. I especially like this round, it gives adequate information about every single tribe.
# Arrivals and departures
A company is like a moving train whereas employees are like passengers who hop on and hop off. During the journey of Etribes, many digital ???? have joined and left, they get warmly welcome and hearty goodbye at all-hands, their contributions get highly appreciated and recognized, it all begins and ends with a good spirit and team motivation. I cannot deny the fact where people are left in shock after hearing the departure of loved ones, it is always hard.
# Milestones
"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step", milestones are very important since they are the symbols which serve as a collection of targets to reach the ultimate goal. All-hands at Etribes also sketches the next possible milestones to achieve the organization's goal, it serves as a clear vision of what to achieve and how to achieve. It also gives a reason to work harder and smarter in unity.
# Gains & lost customers
The market dynamics are changing, business models are evolving, peoples tastes and preferences are changing, most of all our lifestyle is changing because of this corona pandemic, it has a large impact on innovation, it has increased quite a bit of uncertainty to some extent in people mindsets, people think 1000 times before doing any further investments. Despite these whole circumstances, Etribes has continuously managed to digitalize its customers' needs, provided the utmost proficiency to transform the business models which fit in current demands. All-hands give us a chance to know all those movements and of-course we also get to know those customers as well to whom we didn't get a chance to serve.
# Sales
Sales are also one of the biggest topics which get discussed at all-hands, we get to know the figures and it gives us a crystal clear clarity that how we are doing in numbers. It is really fascinating to know that the month of the year also plays a vital role to have a spike in sales. The loudness of applause ?? does echo quite long whenever we hear that we are able to seal the deal, it always left us in great motivation to serve and deliver quality service and product.
The transparency, clean vision, and great communication are the key takeaways from the all-hands and I sincerely would like to thank Stefan, Fabian & Nils for keeping up the transparency even in the uncertain situations, I personally found it quite promising and it also gave me a reason to enrich my bonding with Etribes.
Last but not least, how do you feel about the all-hands management meeting? Does it still not worth it?
