Business has always had buzz words and new things that push the narrative and the new AI buzz is no different. You have people that are adapting and using it and people that are fearful and afraid of it. Saying John Connor was right and terminator is around the corner.
Lets look at the pros and cons of AI and how it is shaping the world around us. I was just part of a AI Symposium that was featured in the LA Tribunal. Where AI experts from around the world spoke of the advancements and different uses AI can help us with. I was on a guest panel talking about how to use AI effectively in social selling.
In my experience I have found it useful for grammar, idea's and formatting idea's. As a top closer for a Fortune 50 company I am always looking at ways to make my life easier and my ability to connect with prospect easier and more effective.
We have used automation for a long time with mail merge and other tools. Now most CRMs will send out emails for you and help you track open rates. I use and sell a VoIP solution that will summarize my calls with clients and give me key bullet points from calls, video or emails. This AI tech is super helpful since it catches things I may of missed in the call.

For sales professionals and business owners AI is a great tool to save time and costs. Now I know people are saying that is will cost jobs. In some cases your right. Lower paying data entry jobs or non skilled business roles will be taken over by AI. But like with the car horse carriage drivers were out of work and had to adapt. The same will be with the new world of AI. One role will close but others will open.
The thing that people need to understand is that AI cannot take over the human touch. The face to face meetings. The empathy and ability to connect on a level that is needed for business to be done. At least at this stage so far.
My suggestion is to embrace the tools and use them to help more people with your products and services. AI is here to stay. I am curious what are your thoughts on AI? Good, bad, or indifferent?
