Why Africa?

Why Africa?

In a chat with a senior colleague and friend yesterday: He asked, "what natural resources do countries such as the Great Britain and Germany have to be commanding the quantum of economic and influential greatness they command today?".

In response, I could only thought of GB, the Great Britain, which I was very sure of. I told him, GB only has its people and their knowledge as her major resource. Speaking emphatically, while looking at me straight in the eyes, he said: "saves for its people, Britain has nothing!".

Come to think of it. How this country has been surviving is a bit of miracle. Though the miracle mightn't be a good one. As for the point of its survival hundreds of years long, in spite of not being able to boast of a pound of gold as natural resource, he, my friend, dissected the nature of knowledge.

He pointed out good knowledge from negative knowledge which is only good for technically keeping others in slavery.

We digressed and digressed, he opened my imagination to how the Europeans have been stylishly keeping Africans in chain, using African leaders against helpless Africans.

How? Especially, Europeans use the lures of corruption against African leaders to impoverish larger Africa.

Hence, African masses clogged in the static wheel of poverty keep thinking the Whites are superiors, even in the face of abundant natural resources which never exist elsewhere apart from in Africa.

Most problem bedeviling Nigeria, as a star of Africa, today have been consistently traced to 'foreign influences'.

Corruption in Nigeria is clearly foreign backed; loads of money being carted away often find their ways to bank vaults in Europe.

Why? Of recent, foreign mercenaries have been robustly fingered for the nationwide security lapses bedeviling Nigeria.

Buttressing and explaining reasons for the foreign signatures in Nigeria security challenges , my friend, who happens to be a native of Zamfara state, a state known for what it is today, told me a concurrent scenario, a fact. He told me how an helicopter, suspected to be foreign- backed, would, and still, land every Saturdays in a village closer to an illegal gold mine.

Natural gold deposits in Zamfara are reported to be among the best in the world, with the potential of raking in much more income, ranking higher than Petro-dollar,for the country.

But what happens to Zamfara gold ? Security crisis escalates in Zamfara, thus, total governance in the area becomes a bit more difficult.

Government cannot tell for sure what is happening over there; a suspected foreign helicopter frequently hovers the area and lands in there to do what you and I can imagine.

To free Africa, we need leaders who can think straight, devoid of allegiance to the imperialists and to a certain group.

Rwanda president is such a leader hear what he told a group who just concluded a youth-service program, an equivalent of Nigerian NYSC.

Paul Kagame told Rwandan Youth at the graduation of the "Itorero" training. August 2019. (Rwandan NYSC version)

"The 1994 genocide was an example of how the West are waiting on us to kill each other so they can share our gold and take our lands. I & your fathers came and stopped the killings.

Now, they are not happy, they might kill me, but before then, I want you to understand that your destiny is in your hands. Do not allow yourselves to be manipulated into thinking that you are inferior.

Do not allow yourselves to be manipulated by Arab religion (I'm talking about Islam) or the Western version of Christianity. This two religions make our people to fight, kill and manipulate each other.

You must protect your cultural heritage, you must protect the lands, you must farm your food, you must protect the forest, you must fly rockets to the space, you must invent AI technology. You're the pride of Africa, you must always remember this."

By President Paul Kagame of Rwanda August 2019.
