Why is 50inTech opening its capital to women and allies?

At 50inTech, we believe that our community has the power to break down systemic inequalities in tech to create an inclusive and empowering ecosystem.

2023 will be a great year! I want to start with a big thank you to the whole 50inTech community who have supported us since day one.

Since our launch in 2018, we have built a strong community of over 25,000 members, all committed to diversity in tech. We have been working hard for over 4 years to build a more diverse and inclusive ecosystem.?

What does it mean? We have been working with 100 tech companies or IT departments of large corporations, such as UNICC, BNP Paribas or Payfit, in their journey to build a more inclusive ecosystem. Over 80% of our clients passed the gender score last year and 100% of our new clients. We've grown our talent base 2.8 times in one year.?

Building with allies?

It's time to scale up and we can't build tomorrow's technology without our allies. We will get there together. We have a dream for an industry with more women, more underrepresented people, more seniors over 45, and more people with disabilities. In a few words, we want to see real people, not a small group of privileged people, dominating the business ecosystem.?

We need to do something quickly! How can we accept the fact that even today, one in two women leaves technology before the age of 35? This is unacceptable when we know that more than half of the most lucrative jobs of tomorrow are in the STEM sector.??

When they do get in, the salaries don't follow either. According to a study by salary data aggregation platform Figures , the average gender pay gap in the French ecosystem is 24.8%, 2.5 points higher than the national average.

We all know money is the key! But female start-up founders raised four times less money than their male counterparts in 2021, according to the latest barometer from the SISTA collective and BCG.

Focusing on solutions

We're not complaining! We are entering an era of solutions and you are part of it, that's why we decided to open our capital to our community and all our allies.?

Convincing VCs who are 95% white men that the DEI market is a huge opportunity has not been an easy road. But we met the right ones who strongly believe in the project: Inco Ventures, Evolem, Altalurra Ventures, and Super Capital are really convinced that we will become the first B2B data platform to break systemic inequalities in tech ??.

This campaign gives you the chance to put your money where your mouth is! We truly believe that our community has the power to break down systemic inequalities in technology to build an inclusive space. By becoming a 50inTech investor, you can be part of a project that makes an impact. To give everyone a voice, note that the ticket starts at €10.

But what will we do with the cash? The funds raised will help us develop our teams and R&D and improve our services.?

One last point, transparency is a fundamental value, it is very important to note that an investment can be risky, even if 50inTech remains a solid company with positive results.?

If you need information, feel free to ask any questions.?

Proud to be supporting 50inTech's mission! Diversity, equality of treatment and opportunities in teams at all levels of companies is very much needed. Beyond this straightforward need, at ALTALURRA Ventures we see technology spreading across all industries and companies. Within the coming years, almost all companies will have technology teams and specialists. Enabling women in tech is essential in this new technology revolution - they are at the forefront of using technology for good and we strongly think that women are key for tackling our sustainability challenges. Go Caroline Ramade and 50inTech!
