Why 50 is better than 25.

I’m nearly 53 years old. 50 seemed ancient to me when I was 25 but now it’s a reality. But being alive for a half century has surprised me. 5?0?

I actually really love it. ?? Not the aches and pains but aging has given me an understanding of the world I never expected and couldn’t understand when I was young. As we mature we start to see beneath the surface of the everyday, if we look for it.

We see patterns and truths that took decades to reveal themselves. Time can put life in a new perspective. Perspective gives you two things. Gratitude and awe. When we step back and look at our life we have a lot to be grateful for. ??And nothing creates happiness like gratitude. And perspective gives us awe. ??The feeling like we are an integral part of something beyond comprehension and we get to experience it everyday.

Not all people that age and get this perspective. You have to look for it There are plenty of people that never appreciate the gift of this day they are given but if you do. If you look past the obvious you can live in wonderment and veneration, astonishment and reverence.
