Why in 2023 we should learn JavaScript

Brendan Eich created Javascript in 1995 as the frontend programming language that, has grown so vast and popular that it has attracted the interest of big tech companies like Google, Facebook, and Apple. These companies have developed engines to enable JavaScript as a backend language as well.

I think Brendan Eich?did not imagine that one day?JavaScript?would also work as a backend language and will have thousands of libraries and frameworks that will make JavaScript simpler and will be available for AI, Machine Learning, Maths, BioTech, Automation and etc.

Now, JavaScript is one of the most popular and versatile programming languages worldwide. It can be used to create web applications, mobile applications, desktop applications, and more. In this blog post, I will explain why learning JavaScript in 2023 is an intelligent choice for anyone who wants to become a full-stack developer or expand their skill set.

But let's come back and discuss why Js is still the best choice in 2023,

First of all,??It runs in every browser and enables dynamic and interactive web pages. You can use JavaScript to manipulate the HTML and CSS elements of a web page, add animations and effects, handle user input and events, communicate with servers and databases, and much more. Learning JavaScript will allow you to create rich and engaging web experiences for your users.

Secondly, JavaScript is not limited to the web. You can also use it to create mobile applications, desktop applications, and even games. Thanks to frameworks and platforms like React Native, Vue js, Next, Nuxt, Meteor, Electron, Ionic, etc. You can use your JavaScript skills to build cross-platform applications that run on iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux, and other devices. Learning JavaScript will give you the flexibility and portability to create applications for any platform.

Thirdly, JavaScript is a great language for full-stack development. Full-stack development means that you can work on both the front end and the back end of an application. The front end is the part that the user sees and interacts with, while the back end is the part that handles the logic, data, and communication behind the scenes. With JavaScript, you can use the same language for both parts of the application. You can use frameworks like Node.js, Express, and MongoDB to create scalable and efficient back-end services with JavaScript and use Vuejs, or other front-end libraries to make User Interaction modules. Learning JavaScript will enable you to master both sides of the application development process.

One of the best and my favorite reason why you should learn JavaScript is the high demand for JavaScript developers. According to a report by HackerRank, JavaScript is the most sought-after skill by employers in 2022. This trend is likely to continue in 2023 and beyond, as more and more companies are looking for skilled JavaScript developers to build and maintain their web and mobile applications. By learning JavaScript, you will have access to a wide range of career opportunities and a chance to work with some of the most innovative tech companies in the world.

Also, The best reason is The active community. There are countless online resources, forums, and communities where developers share knowledge, collaborate on projects, and help each other solve coding challenges. Being part of this community can provide you with valuable insights, support, and networking opportunities that can enhance your learning journey and career growth.

In conclusion, learning JavaScript in 2023 is a wise decision for anyone who wants to become a full-stack developer or broaden their horizons. JavaScript is a powerful and flexible language that can be used for web development, mobile development, desktop development, and more. It is also a great language for full-stack development, as you can use it for both the front-end and the back-end of an application.
