Who's Who?
Who remembers, "Who's Who?"
Who is most likely to become President?
Who will be rich?
Who will be famous?
If you remember "Who's Who?", it was something you did with your high school classmates in good fun. You did a prompted question survey, filled in the blank with who you thought was most likely to become this or that, and then it was printed in your Yearbooks.
Alan will be President. Ryan will be famous, etc.
Let's look at an example through the lens of faith, joy, love and hope
Faith Every Day
By the time we reach high school graduation day, we have some sense of what is going to happen next. Are we going to technical school? College? Sticking with the same job we've had through high school, or we already know where we are going to work after graduation.
In each decision, we had a certain level of faith in our next step. We are beginning a new chapter of life, and at seventeen or eighteen, most of us are unaware of the blind spots that will reveal themselves with time as we mature.
Think of one example right now where you know you would benefit from reaching toward the faith you had in your future many years ago; at a specific milestone at a younger age.
Would you be able to increase your faith if you removed the blind spots you can see now as you have aged and matured?
Could you benefit from some blind faith?
Joy Every Hour
Remember the last time you felt true joy.
Who were you with?
What were you doing?
If you are feeling like you haven't had that unadulterated feeling of joy recently, go spend time with that person. They'll be glad to be your "Who's Who?" (especially if you don't tell them.)
Love Every Minute
Love has a funny way of revealing itself at times. Today I thought about it in the way we support one another through hard times. In the eyes of the world, one of us needs more love and support than the other in a certain period in time.
Don't be surprised if you later come to the realization that while you thought you were holding up someone else, you have now realized that they were the one holding up you.
Hope In Each Second
Thinking about things like "Who's Who?" seems much different looking back at it now.
If you were writing your answers all over again, what would you write?
Someone was a classmate of Ronald Reagan. He was both famous and a U.S. President!
Here's where I am going with this. Leave the blind spots you can see behind for a minute and fill in the blanks for yourself.
(Your Name)____________________ will be ____________________________ (fill in the blank)
Let that sink in for a while... Then...
Have as much -or more- hope in who you will be tomorrow than who you are today!
Until tomorrow,
Choose Hope -
