Who's The Man? I'm The Man With The Plan...

Saturday evening in a sunny Hyde Park in London and Brand Flowers, front man for the killers, ever the showman comes out wearing a pink leather jacket, pink confetti streaming everywhere and in front of 65,000 people starts belting out their new single, The Man.

The crowd are going wild, they have been waiting for this since the gates opened 7 hours earlier..

And apart from it being an amazing experience there were lots of little biz lessons all over the place

None more than the fact that people will always pay more for a better experience, better view, less queuing, more space, better service etc...

Me and my Mrs upgraded our £95 tickets £55 each to get closer and get more space which was totally worth every penny by the way, but most people won't pay that (but that does not matter)

No being crushed, guaranteed to get a great view, access to better facilities like a champagne bar for the Mrs.

Plus there was even an other 2 levels of upgrades but they were sold out such was the demand.

You could have paid 110 extra each for access to the garden bar area or 350 and got a reserved seat.

Did most people there upgrade?

Hell no, not even close and probably less than 3000 out of the 65000 crowd, but that's the whole point about upgrades, you are also upgrading for exclusivity.

The lesson is that there will always be people will always pay more for superior stuff (me included)

How can you work that into personal training services?

Massages?

More 1-1 time with you?

Supermarket Tours?

Bespoke food service?

Supplements?

There are loads of ways to increase your revenue without needing extra clients because a chunk of them will want an enhanced service.

What can you offer?
