Who's to gain and who's to blame?
In the last few weeks chatter is growing about #amazon gating the #toy category.
Did you know about it? Will it impact you?
I can't wait to see how this one plays out, what will be said in the next category revenue meet in Amazon, oh so curios!
I know most control is held by a small portion of the industry, trends, lines or what not but revenue, uhm, is it still true that accumulated income from small #business supersedes big corp revenues, not sure, would love to learn more about current stats but one thing is certain, there's a significant revenue loss from gating hundreds of individual sellers from the Toys category on Amazon worldwide, and that is most probably a fact.
I personally came across tens of troubled sellers in the last couple of weeks seeking advise and solutions how to get ungated. Typical funnels and derivatives in place that means I was exposed to less than 1% of affected parties, so even at $5K a month per seller we're talking millions of dollars of revenue down the drain (wow), true Amazon still gains by holding all that stock even if it can't be sold but seeing they forgo their brutal monthly long term fees starting Feb 15th (a blessed thing) still bottom line Q119 Amazon Toys might not be great. Anyone aware of this? I wonder!
