For Whom The Bell Tolls – Draft Implementation Plan Proposal

For Whom The Bell Tolls – Draft Implementation Plan Proposal

As I am preparing for the Social Justice Ride 2024, I thought while I’m on the road that I may write up a draft implementation plan for how I would deal with the corruption in the Cayuga County, NY government legal system during the time period of January 1, 2025 through June 30, 2025. It’s highly unlikely that Cayuga County, NY is going to hire me as the Auburn City Manager…given the fact one of my main goals would be to have as many corrupt government employees incarcerated as possible…in those 6 months. I would also move all county government and offices over to the Cayuga County Jail considering how underutilized the space currently is…per the Cayuga County Sheriff at the recent Community Event in Auburn, NY.

However, the real reason to spend this time and effort writing up a draft implementation plan, besides the fact I really do care about the Cayuga County community….is because I also care about young professionals who may be looking for guidance on how to clean up a corrupt county government. Therefore, in honor of the families of Cayuga County and to all the young professionals out there who want to get a better understanding of public administration….stay tuned for the draft implementation plan.

In the interim, you can find out more about public administration at the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) - Bloomington, IN. I earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Public Affairs and a Master’s of Science (MS) in Environmental Science from SPEA. Both were excellent programs and I really appreciated the balanced approach of protecting the environment while understanding how to change legislation from multiple angles. I earned my Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from the Binghamton University School of Management which is another excellent program. I just happened to pursue two master’s degrees while I was working full-time because I am a professional student, and I found the MBA really tied all of the other pieces in together for me. In my personal opinion, one of the biggest benefits to earning an MBA over an MS, is the coursework gives you a better understanding and appreciation for what senior leaders have to contend with and more importantly, understanding the terminology and the best way to present your ideas to them…in order to achieve success. Given that I have earned two master’s degrees, a common question I get from young professionals is whether they should purse an MBA or an MS. I always suggest the MBA unless the person knows they want to be more on the research side. Either way, going for an advanced degree really can prepare you better for future success. It also does not hurt to have 30+ years’ experience working in the public, private, and non-profit sectors, both domestically and internationally….but you have plenty of time for that. The wisest thing a young professional can do is to utilize other people’s lessons learned and strive for continuous improvement in both your personal and professional lives.

So just for the fun of it, and to give young professionals interested in public administration and community activism some ideas…stay tuned for the draft implementation plan of the steps I would take in the first 6 months of 2025 in the position of Auburn City Manager in order to deal with the corruption of the Cayuga County government and legal system.? I also wanted to dedicate this song to all of the corrupt Cayuga County government employees and unethical legal professionals. If I have my way, the bell will toll for you much sooner rather than later…or perhaps should I say…the lights and sirens…coming your way soon…Sweethearts!

Hey Cayuga County…did I mention I’m from the North Country?? True story…I was conceived at Fort Drum, NY before my father was sent to Vietnam and my mom went to her base in New Jersey before giving birth to yours truly.? Not sure if that helps explain anything for you or not…just sayin’...

Here are two links on the North Country – it is a very beautiful part of New York State with a distinct culture compared to the rest of the state:

Don’t get too smug St. Lawrence County – you’re next after Cayuga County.
