The Wholestic Entrepreneur

The Wholestic Entrepreneur

Do these questions sound familiar?

"Are you locked up in a Box?"

"Are you working in your business or on your Business?"

"Do you feel overworked and overwhelmed?"

"Did you pursue your passion?"

"Are you a glorified Technocrat?"

"Do you know how to manage people and resources?"

"Do you need to work long hours?"

This article focuses on you as a person rather than just a business. It concentrates more on the solution rather than the problem.

First, we cannot compartmentalize our lives. We must understand the interdependency of our multifaceted life especially when we are in a leadership role.

Secondly, we must learn to stay in the present. This will help us improve our awareness which in turn will open up our mind to make better decisions and receive outside help.

Thirdly, businesses do not have a conscience, people do. We must let our morals and ethics guide our life.

Fourthly, we must find the sweet spot at the intersection of our Passion, Knowledge and available Resources to jump-start our career.

Fifthly, your business should run on an autopilot. It should not dictate how you live your life. You are more than your business.

Finally, we learn more from our mistakes than from our accomplishments.

This is a WHOLESTIC approach. It is a complete makeover. Do not waste your time in picking bits and pieces.

Your success in life is as good as the weakest link in the chain of 11 links.

 A Wholestic Approach

When I was young, I was dying to be a Graduate.

When I graduated, I was dying to come to the USA.

When I came to the USA, I was dying to get my first business.

When I started my own business, I was dying to make my first million.

When I made my first million I was dying to be happy.

And in all those dying, I forgot how to live.

I am not interested in making you a hero. I am also not interested in dissecting what you did in the past.

Your aim is to become liberated from the everyday madness. Nobody wants to live a miserable life. I am here to help you fulfill your aim, to come out of this drudgery. I have a system for doing that. Give it a trial.

Do you consider yourself a successful leader? If so, why and how do you measure that success? Are you just a leader for your team? What about your entire life -- who or what is leading that?

Someone once asked the Dalai Lama:

“What surprises you the most?”

and he responded with:

“Man, because he sacrifices his health to make money, then he sacrifices his money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then he dies having never really lived.”

If this is something you can relate to and are ready to make a change, maybe it’s time to look at the entire picture of your life. Not just your job, or your home life, or even your relationships, but all of it in one big picture. Who’s taking the lead in your life? Are you just bouncing from moment to moment or are you getting what you want from every moment life has to offer?

The Wholestic Approach is a complete makeover for your life. It isn’t something you can pick bits and pieces from and think it’s going to have the same impact. It’s taking the whole picture into play and setting yourself up for personal success. We’re not just talking about your wallet; we’re talking about you as an individual being & the best version of you.

We cannot compartmentalize our lives. We must understand the interdependency of our multifaceted life especially when we are in a leadership role. Maybe you’re the boss of a small business, maybe you’re just the head of your household, or even just on your own: you are the leader of yourself. Either way, we need to understand that how we function as a leader impacts those around us. A good leader knows there is always more to learn and they should be constantly looking for ways to improve, strengthen, and stabilize their life, family, and team.

A leader often plays many roles in their life and wears many hats, each corresponding to a different area of crucial concern. I have identified eleven hats to be a successful leader. Each one you put on opens new skills and a new opportunity for success. We’ll go into each one a little bit so you can see which hats you might already be wearing and which ones you still need to put on.

The 11 Hats of the Entrepreneur

1. The Technocrat. As a member of a technically skilled elite you’ll definitely need to be original and creative with an inquisitive mind ready for lifelong learning. The love of technology is a strong trait to have with this hat. As your environment changes this hat can make significant changes happen smoothly.

Wearing this hat also means you know there is room for trial and error, that not everything is going to work on the first try and you are willing to keep at it till you see the results you want.

2. The Entrepreneur is someone who wants nothing but to follow their passions and recognizes the opportunities to do so. People who wear this hat dream big and think outside of the box with a millionaire mindset and are willing to take the appropriate risk of learning from past failures. They should always have an exit strategy and succession plan for when they are ready to move to their next venture.

3. The Communicator knows and understand just how important communication is in every part of their life. Verbal skills, non-verbal communication, and especially listening are essential when it comes to success in anything. How you say something has just as much of an effect as what you say.

Ever heard “It’s not what you say but how you say it?” Effective communication goes a long way, longer than people remember to give it credit for, and that’s what makes it an important hat to wear.

4. The Leader. These people know the meaning of success for themselves and how to uphold the corporate mission, values, and goals. They collaborate and build relationships and understand the difference between push vs. pull leadership strategies. They build trust, credibility, and love to create win-win situations for everyone.

5. The Chief Happiness Officer. These people are always the ones standing out in the room. They create the corporate culture with their role model behavior and motivations. They bring the sense of teamwork and help everyone have that sense of belonging to the team. Wearing this that means you are a positivity ambassador and you let it shine through even on rainy days.

6. The Marketer. These people know their toolbox, they know their market platform, and know how to uphold their companies value statements. They are cunning and have anticipatory marketing skills and know how to avoid market disruptions.

7. The Financial Manager. They know the major financial objectives of the company. They know the Z-score for the long-term viability of the company. They know the numbers and indicators for the entire picture. They also know the financial habits of their company and how to break bad ones. They compare industry standards to their own and keep up with the changes.

8. The Family Person. They know work-life balance, and they know how to keep it. The family person understands their purpose in life and does everything to grasp that sweet spot of being exactly where they want to be. They can detoxify their life at points to have that sweet spot. They know how to create a permeable wall to allow things to flow in and out of their life as they need too.

9. The Social Motivator creates impersonal wealth with their principles, morals, and ethics. They understand servant leadership and how to live an unselfish life. They are giving and understand life circumstances for what they are.

10. The Health Coach. What really is health? Does it mean jogging your butt off five days a week? Does it mean drinking some strange, thick, green fluid? The person wearing this hat understands what true heath is and how to obtain it. This hat might look a little different from person to person. Each person is different and someone wearing the hat of a health coach knows this.

11. The Awakened. People wearing this hat know what emotional intelligence is and they use it daily. They have found their purpose in life and have addressed their pain points with the result of being able to control their mind with the right thinking. They’ve overcome fear and have cultivated their willpower. They have changed their habits, learned to manage their time better, and know how to make a plan and stick to it.

Each one of these hats brings something new to the table of your life. Each one brings skills, goals, and success to what we truly want. The Wholestic Approach ensures a grasp on your own life you’ve only heard of.

The Smell of Success

The Real Test:

I work when I want, where I want, and with whom I want, doing only what I want to do. You never achieve real success unless you like what you are doing.
