A whole new world!

It is fair to say that Coronavirus has changed the way the legal sector lives and works, probably forever. Many lawyers and firms have learned lessons about remote working and the savings/efficiencies that can go with this.

Another, possibly surprising, development has been the growth in new firms. Many predicted the opposite. But it seems that working from home has resulted in the decision to ‘go it alone’. This is possibly caused by the flexibility of being your own boss, or has just given that final push to some who have always thought of doing it but were reluctant to jump!

Starting out on your own or as a new firm can be daunting. But with hard work and vision this is achievable. The main thing is to have a determination to do it and a clear idea of what you want to do. What will be your client base? How will you market the business? Who will be responsible for compliance – terrifying for some but not in fact a scary as people think?

can be managed.
