What if you went to see your doctor, not because you had a problem, but because you were healthy and wanted to keep it that way?
Modern medicine is focused on problem solving. But what if we could preempt the problems from occurring in the first place?
This isn't preventive medicine.
There are some things we simply cannot prevent.
But we can figure out what your risk factors are for developing problems later in life and try to take action now to lessen the impact on your life later.
Thats what I call preactionary medicine.

Energy Drinks vs. Coffee: The Truth
When it comes to boosting energy and performance, many people turn to either coffee or energy drinks, both of which contain caffeine. A recent study examined whether energy drinks offer any extra benefits beyond those provided by caffeine alone.
The researchers found that while the energy drink did improve sustained attention slightly more than caffeine, there were no significant differences between the two when it came to mood, strength, or endurance.
This suggests that the additional ingredients in energy drinks—such as B vitamins, L-tyrosine, and L-theanine—may not significantly enhance physical or mental performance compared to caffeine alone.
The study highlights the complexity of ingredient combinations in energy drinks. For example, while L-tyrosine and L-theanine are thought to boost focus and relaxation, the doses used in most energy drinks may not be high enough to show a noticeable effect. Additionally, the relatively low dose of caffeine in the drinks studied (200 mg) might not have been sufficient to trigger more substantial benefits for most users, particularly those already accustomed to regular caffeine intake.

Sunshine: The Secret to Longevity
A recent study reveals that avoiding sun exposure may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and non-cancer related deaths, potentially shortening life expectancy by up to two years!
While sun exposure is commonly associated with an increased risk of skin cancer, this research suggests that moderate sun exposure can lead to longer life due to reduced rates of CVD and other causes of death.
Nonsmokers who avoided sun exposure had a similar life expectancy to smokers who had high sun exposure, highlighting the health risks of avoiding the sun.
