Strategies for Staying Connected
1. Regular Check-ins
Set reminders in your calendar to reach out to your connections every 4-6 months. Schedule brief 30-minute meetings, whether in person, via Zoom, or through a phone call. These touch-base sessions help keep relationships strong and keep YOU top of mind.
2. Offer Support
During your conversations, ask how you can support their work and the events they are organizing. If you aren’t the right speaker, recommend someone you know who would be perfect for their event.
3. Take Notes
Keep a file on your connections with important details from your conversations. This will ensure that you remember key points for future conversations. If follow-up is needed, make a note in your planner or calendar so that you don’t forget.
4. Share Valuable Content
Forward articles and other content you know your connection would be interested in. You can also tag them in LinkedIn posts or comments on topics they value (be sure not to overdo this one).
5. Make Introductions
Connect people within your network who could benefit from knowing each other. This helps both of your connections!
6. Amplify Their Voice
