Who Is Your Most Stupid Customer?

Who Is Your Most Stupid Customer?

This is an important question.

Because, for your marketing copy to do a proper job, you must picture that person and use wording that ensures they understand your product or service and the benefit it can bring to them.

This means you have to be quite basic with your language and concepts, and be careful to keep things simple.

Which is great, because good copy is all about simplicity. If you can explain what you sell, and the benefit it brings, to the most slow-witted of people – then everyone will understand you.

Will you annoy some people with your simplicity? Possibly, but better that than turn multitudes away with over-complicated content.

Remember, the people reading your copy, your potential customers, don’t have to read it. If it doesn’t make sense, or fails to hold their attention, they will quickly look for something more interesting to do.
